Global Goals is a project adopted by the world leaders on September 25th in 2015. The event happened at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit in New York. In total, 17 goals were declared, mostly having something to do with global problems such as poverty, injustice, fight inequality, and climate change.

Ian Gray, CEO of Vodafone Qatar, said that Vodafone strives to connect everyone in order to improve the quality of our lives. He added that the company is proud to support Global Goals. He went on to say that the company managed to achieve a lot of objectives that are closely related to what the Global Goals project is trying to achieve. He hopes the company will continue to benefit the local economy and community in the future as well.

In Qatar, Vodafone will use their social media presence as an outlet to support global awareness, as well as by sending SMS messages to clients. Furthermore, Vodafone will be giving free mobile data access to the official Global Goals website and YouTube channel during Global Goals week.

Among other things, Vodafone has been working hard to strengthen the network infrastructure in Qatar over the past 24 months. They are also supporting Qatar in becoming a market-leading country in providing knowledge-based services and products.
