Stop by the MediaCityUK at any time, and there will be a Digital Innovation Hub waiting for you to test it out. Its main purpose is for entrepreneurs and innovators to take 5G technology to a whole new level, but what else does it offer?
Without a shred of doubt, the start-up community will certainly be pleased to hear about this. The Landing, Salford, is the Innovation Hub’s new home. Being able to get in touch with network experts, as well as being able to access modern technologies such as IoT and high-speed fibre are only some of the reasons for visiting, along with the obvious benefit of having a space available that’s suitable for co-working.
At the opening event, the attendees discussed the opportunities that the innovation hub will open.
Anne Sheehan, Business Director at Vodafone UK, believes the digital innovation hub is an example of how the company is empowering the startups of today. Thanks to the technologies being made available to them, they are well-equipped to transform their vision into reality.
Paul Dennett, City Mayor of Salford, commented on how great it is to see that Vodafone decided to select the city for launching its first Digital Innovation Hub. He believes this to be one of the reasons why Salford is one of the most attractive destinations for digital enterprises, while also having the potential to attract new job offerings.
As time goes on, Vodafone aims to open similar hubs in other locations as well.
