Together with the Ottawa Senators Foundation, Mitel will be sponsoring the 2018 Ottawa Seniors Foundation Telethon.
This way, its viewers will be introduced to certain young individuals who have been impacted by the Foundation’s work, as well as all the programs it supports.
The funds it plans to raise will help the younger population in western Quebec and eastern Ontario, to provide easier access to sports, education programs and recreation activities. Generally speaking, they are aiming to promote both mental and physical wellbeing.
Danielle Robinson, CEO and president of the Ottawa Senators Foundation, is thrilled to welcome Mitel as the presenting sponsor at their annual telethon. She is proud that Mitel has recognised the impact they are making in the community. In the future, she hopes the company will be able to reach an even higher number of children and young adults.
The broadcast will feature the following initiatives:
- The Organ Project
- The SENS Campership Program
- Project Step
- Roger Neilson House
Steve Spooner, chief financial officer at Mitel, commented that the company has been involved with Ottawa and its local community for quite a while, and now, they have a chance to give back. He believes this is an exciting opportunity because it combines their communications technology with helping children. Finally, he has revealed this is the first step of ‘Mitel Serves’, the company’s new global community program.
